Dear friends,

Watershed Worship Ministries would like to invite you to join us in a unique ministry opportunity to the people of South Africa this summer. For the last 5 years, Watershed Worship has been an independent worship group that travels around the United States, reaching thousands of young people each year. What was started as a resource for worship music, was transformed by God into something so much bigger and has allowed Watershed to grow into one of the most sought after groups for youth in the church today.

Without outside financial backing for promotion, marketing or tour support, Watershed has remained a self-sufficient ministry, and God has blessed us during the past few years by allowing us to grow in mission and vision. But this year we are hoping to extend that reach by traveling outside the United States, not only South Africa, but to Canada, as well.

Watershed has received this invitation alongside other a capella groups, such as Free Indeed, One Spirit and Inside Out. These groups have previously traveled to this region. Also traveling with us will be a keynote speaker and production team. The proposed idea for this trip will be to conduct several family retreats with the local churches and then have community concerts. The purpose for these ideas will be to edify those that already know Jesus, and to also reach out to their communities.

The trip will begin July 10th, 2007 and we will return on July 23nd. Travel and information updates will be available here on our blog. We’ll also update with blogs during our trip so you can experience what you helped to be a part of.

There are two ways you can help support this fund in bringing a message of unity and the hope in Jesus to the people of South Africa.

First and foremost, we covet your prayers. This is most important. All the money in the world cannot compare to God’s blessing. We need the prayers of you, your family, your church and your community. So, we ask that you take a moment, when you approach the throne room of God, to ask God to bless this trip and provide safety for us.
Secondly, this trip cannot happen without outside financial support. Even though Watershed has been self-sustaining for 5 years, it is not possible for us to make this trip on our own. Therefore, we ask you to prayerfully consider making a donation.

The average cost per person will be $2500.00, including travel documentation, required medical shots, airfare and incidental expenses. The greatest blessing of this trip is, once we land on African soil, all expenses (including transportation, meals and housing) will be taken care of completely.

Watershed itself is not a non-profit organization, but because we are involved with Free Indeed Ministries, your donation to this fund will be 100% tax deductible.
